New tings
Lifes all rainbows and butterflies. We got positive steps in the right direction and i've had an epiphany (amen!). Theres no use rushing a job thats worth doing well. I got a new website on the way, have set up an etsy shop for my leather masks, and got a little logburner installed. No more ice cold bones, I can feel things thawing out for the spring.

Lots of hearty grub of late. Garlicy hassleback potatoes and steak, ribollita soup - amazing, served with extra olive oil and parmesan, and at least one can of sardines a day. Logburner installation cogs are churning, and been taking inspiration from natural objects. Teeth and rocks. I've been using slate for many useful things - a chalkboard, paint pallet and shelf top. Studio smells delicious with this candle burning. Tea, tunes, candle, studio, bliss.

Dark days dead
I drove to a dingey trout lake I passed yesterday in order to barter my way into possessing a decrepit, rotting but absolutely charming in my glazed rust lusting eyes, Bedford wooden horsebox. I saw great times ahead in it. I was stopped in my tracks - it ain't for sale, loadsa folk want it, and the engines hit the floor. On closer inspection the engine was, literally, on the floor. I like giving shit things a shake up but I suspect that was out my hands.
At the beach I filled my pockets with big rocks, gave em a clean at home then Dad and I looked for faces, shapes, portraits, animals, whatever you like really. Inspired by a fantastic neighbour I have in London who showed me some rocks she drew on - here they be, what can you see? + a couple snaps of other stuff.

Massively suspicious of todays weather forecast.

Dwindling
My oh my, what a cracking pair of self-indulgent weeks i've had. Lovely. Unproductive but very fun none the less - maybe what I needed as i'm now back at home in the studio crackin on down with a hare mask commission, trying to shove any self-procrastination into a tiny tiny space in the back of my head, but actually feeling a little guilty.
So, here's a brief outline: London! spending money I don't have on things I don't need! hangovers! Making dawggy friends in the parks, pubs, streets and markets. Parties, planning the summer veg garden, hanging out with Whisky, introducing him to his many aunts, uncles, godparents and guardians, drawing, reading up about bee-keeping, wandering for hours, watching videos about skateboarding and dogs, baking bread, cakes, home made dog treats and making ultimate bacon sandwiches. Each weekend Ben and I welcome the main event and every time they get more outrageous. Perfecto.
All very charming, but not proactive you could say.

In other news, got BESTIVAL tickets, and the theme is wild animals...AWESOME. Bring.it.

Sunset savour
Been fairly sentimental about life lately. Just stopping what i'm doing and appreciating the present. Thats one thing Dad has drilled into my head over the years. Savour the present savour the present savour the present. Must have got lodged in somewhere because I keep stopping, and savouring.
Today was awesome, me and the hounds hit the beach in the afternoon. It was a total ghost coast, no-one there. Incredible. And so beautiful despite it being ab.so.lute.ly arctic - icicles hanging off ya nose sort of thang. Got down to me bones, but we skipped around, I savoured many moments and settled in the dunes to watch the sunset. (Moment)

I make a studio playlist each month, i'll share with the www tomorrow.

New lights
Apparently experts are a sayin that some of us lucky UK residents may spot a little light show by none other than the Northern Lights himself! How awesome, I aint holding out for it though. Instead I'll settle for mild sunsets in January, early morning field walks accompanied by Whisky and a cuppa, and at last, some studio time. Loving it. The logburner man is coming on Friday to give me a quote too...
